Based in Northern California, Mike Logan is an experienced nonprofit leader who began his career directing a drug and alcohol program where he was among the youngest leaders in his city of Redding. Over four decades later, he continues to lead with the same passion, focusing on innovation and improving outcomes for vulnerable youth and adults.
He founded his first nonprofit with a personal investment of $14,000 and, through perseverance and vision, grew it into an organization generating over $15 million annually. Despite early financial struggles and personal sacrifice, including periods without pay, Mike built a multi-county operation with more than 100 employees and a wide range of services spanning foster care, mental health, and transitional housing.
Throughout his career, he has developed leaders, served on numerous boards, contributed to county-level initiatives, and provided strategic guidance to organizations, leaving a lasting impact on the nonprofit sector.
That is why, over the past several years, Mike has poured his greatest leadership lessons, hard-won victories, and practical frameworks into A Nonprofit Leader’s Edge. His goal is simple: To help nonprofit leaders become the kind of leaders who can move organizations forward with clarity, courage, and long-term impact.
